Discover English contains 150 exercises practising
grammar points, vocabulary, spelling and idioms, as
well as an Editor facility to enable teachers to write
their own exercises. A section on 'living in the UK'
introduces the learner to a variety of facts about the
country including British currency. Before attempting
an exercise the learner can read an explanation of the
language to be practised, and can read and listen to
the completed sentences. While attempting an
exercise, an animated Scotsman called Hamish will
check your answers as they are entered, or you can
choose to wait until the end of the exercise to have
them checked. When you have completed an exercise you
have options to correct any wrong answers, see the
correct versions, attempt the whole exercise again,
etc.
