The software has been designed as universal program
for security hybrid platforms running all together
with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards,
capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has
web interface with the identical look and
functionality on the local and remote workstations.
Users see MPEG coded video and have full management
of the program using net that security server can be
run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached.
Program`s modular structure extensively improves
reliability because all modules work as independent
software. If one component fails, other parts
continue working. For instance if the `record` module
fails, `watchdog` starts again it right away that
users don`t notice anything because they are viewing
picture using a `playback` unit. The program
performs `repeated` recording that the `disk full`
situation never appears. The recording can be
constant or it can be turned on by motion, human face
recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-
alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded
video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance
computer as well as on distant station using Web
interface. The software performs simultaneous video
playback for event examination from multiple cameras
concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by
date, time or by face detected. All recorded files
can be encrypted and password protected.
