The basic idea of a Desktop Switcher is that it allows you to run more programs and open more windows without getting the screen too crowded. When a lot of windows are opened in the current desktop and you have not work space you switch to another another desktop, which appears blank - and continue working in that one.Of course, you are always able to switch between virtual desktops.
