You never have enough space on your screen. That could be a rule for computer users. If you have a big screen it only takes a little bit longer to get confused by overlapping windows of different applications running at the same time. Wouldn't it be nice to have multiple desktops for different applications? No-more overlapping windows. A desktop for your word-processing system, one (or better more) for your browser, and so on. Now this is possible. The shareware Large Desktop creates 10 virtual desktops. You can "switch" a desktop by simply pushing a button on the application bar of Large Desktop or using shortcuts to perform this task quickly. Window managers of professional Unix systems use similar tools and if you use Large Desktop you'll know why.
