This diary/journal program is quite easy to use in that everything is taken care of, transparent to the user. It is password protected and your diary can be saved in an encrypted form for your privacy. Once you have saved several entries you may like to find a certain date, a memorable memo, or all of the occurrences of a string of text, say, someone's name. These are all accessed with the click of a mouse button.
