Binders - Version 5.0 Binders Version 4.0 was completed June 19,1998. Because there were so many request to have it on CD-ROM LT Software had the new version made on CD-ROM. Because there were past problems with installation and Hard Drive space LT Software Took care of that problem and made it easy for the user to run Binders straight from the CD-ROM drive without using your hard drive. There were some graphical changes in the animation and most of the art files and wav files. LT Software added math. The new Binders has a whole new look and is packaged with 1 of the 5 bear binders in the program. The bears have names. Amer, Dindy, Jay, Owlem, Hops. Richardson, Lt Software (TM) Purpose: Teaching children the Alphabet, Letter Identification, Letter Sounds, Numbers, Colors and Words. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS * IBM PC or compatible computer running Windows 95 * 4 MB free hard disk space (Demo only) CD-ROM does not use HD Space. * 16 MB RAM. Note: 32 MB RAM works best. * Sound card and mouse required This is for the demo program only. The CD-ROM does not need to be installed by the user. One simple command will run Binders from the CD. Start BINDERS demo Make a directory called Binders on your hard drive (c:\Binders)and copy all the files from Binder40.zip ((unzipped)) to this directory. Then in Windows 95 --- Run Start Binders (Demo Only) To install from dos..................................................... 1.Type this at the C: prompt.....C:\MD\BINDERS 2.Then type C:\CD\BINDERS 3.Then use the copy command to copy all the files from BINDER40.ZIP ((unzipped))to the BINDERS directory. EXAMPLE: C:\Copy c:\Temp\download Copy the files from the directory you downloaded the files to BINDERS ((UNZIPPED)) 4.Go to Windows and choose run. locate the Binders directory, then click on Start Binders. Next click o.k. WHAT IS BINDERS? Binders is educational software for kids that is easy to use for ages 3 and up. It will teach kids the alphabet in order, letter identification, alphabet sounds, reading and colors using phonics. silly bear binder animation makes learning fun! Binders uses graphical buttons and wave for user interaction. Make your own program ( You need the CD to do this) You can even make custom programs with your child. It's so simple, no programming required! You can draw an apple and save it in Bmp format to the binders directory as apple.bmp. You will see your apple in the Binders program. Do the same thing for your voice files. Example: record a wav file with your child saying "a". Save the wav file as "a.wav" in the binders directory. You will hear your childs voice in the Binders program. The music files in Binders can also be renamed to your music. Getting creative with Binders There are many pictures that you can print and make flash cards out of them for your child to play with. You can also print the pictures in black and white and let your child color the pictures. Use the pictures for any kind of art. Cut and paste them to make a postcard or letter. About Binders Amer- Teaches children the alphabet, letter identification and letter sounds. Owlem- Teaches children numbers 1-100 Jay- This is where children can sing -a- long karaoke style. Dindy- Teaches children colors. Hops- Teaches children 3 letter words. Note: You can change all the *.bmp files and *.wav files in Binders. Put your own art and voice files.
