Winlog For Windows 2000
-
Version
5.2
WinLog is a utility to log when your Windows
95/98/NT/2000 PC was booted. (NT 4.0/5.0 only)
It logs the date and time in a highly encrypted and
CrC checked file for Tamper-detection.
Winlog has the ability to secure the Graphical
Interface for viewing the log with password
protection.
The log may be saved unencrypted in a text file, or
may be printed out, or copied to the Windows
Clipboard.
Winlog For Windows 2000 will run on all 32 bit Windows
platforms.
Why would someone need an application such as this?
Two reasons:
Performance monitoring - Some system service
departments like to know how often a PC is used, does
the user turn the PC off at night or leave it running?
Security - Like to know if someone got into your PC
lately? This application excels in this type of
security. Especially under Windows NT, while Windows
NT may give you events to show WHEN your PC was
booted, it does not show WHO booted your PC.
