A new Internet sharing community. When connected to Freebase, you have immediate access to vast archives of free and Open Source software, new and unpublished music, thousands of hours of video, and even classic books. You can also use it to quickly send files to your friends or co-workers, without writing an email. Freebase costs nothing to download, and is the first program of its type that allows any kind of file to be transferred, with no restrictions. We urge all Freebase users to respect the rights of copyright holders. However, due to the dynamic nature of the Freebase service, we do not have the resources to keep any logs or other permanent user data, or to monitor any transaction that happens between third-party computers.
