Impotence (the inability for a man to get or maintain
an erection as often as he would like) is a
frustrating,
embarrassing, and all-too-common condition. Typically,
there are two causes of impotence: physical and
psychological (although it is not uncommon for men to
suffer from both).
Physical causes of impotence can include disorders
that restrict blood flow to the penis, such as
diabetes, high
blood pressure, and hardening of the arteries, as well
as conditions which damage nerves in the penis (such
as
kidney disease).
Although physical causes of impotence are common, most
cases of impotence can be attributed to psychological
causes such as stress, pressure, depression, and
feelings of inadequacy. These psychological roadblocks
