The software has been designed as common program for
surveillance cross platforms functioning simultaneously
with wireless and wired Internet webcams,
Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB
cameras. It has web interface with the identical
appearance and controls on the local and distant
workstations. Customers see MPEG coded video and have
complete management of the software using network that
surveillance station can be run without screen,
keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular
configuration considerably increases reliability
because all components operate as independent programs.
If one unit freezes, other parts go on running. For
instance if the `capture` module freezes, `watchdog`
restarts it instantly that viewers don`t notice
anything because they are viewing video using a
`playback` module. The software does `cyclic`
recording that the `disk full` situation never appears.
The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by
movement, human face recognition, or by timetable.
The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording.
Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and
performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart
station via Web interface. The software does
synchronized video playback for event examination from
multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded data can
be searched by date, time or by face detected. All
recorded information can be encrypted and password
protected.
