Extract Columns From Text and HTML Files Software
-
Version
7.0
This software offers a versatile solution for the user
who needs to extract table data. Simply queue your
files and select how much data to extract. For
example, if you are working with a seven column CSV
file and want to extract the first four columns of
data, select “Extract Columns by Start and End
Position,” select "1" as the start position, and
select "4” as the end position. Another example: if
you want to extract data from an HTML table, enter the
unique characters at the beginning and end. Both
examples return text in the preserved format: columns
of data are adjacent to each other, and rows are
separated by carriage returns. Selecting “Extract
every column separated by these characters” will
extract each row separately. For example, a plain
English text file extracted with “Space” as the
separating character will be displayed as every word
in one column, each word starting a new row. Results
can be saved to a text, CSV or Excel file. This
software can save you hours of time by automatically
extracting and formatting many files at once.
