A 32-bit Internet application that automatically retrieves text content from Web sites of your choice and displays it in a movable ticker that scrolls across your PC's screen. New version works over most proxy server and LAN connections as well as dial-up networking. Get breaking news from any Web site in the world! Controlled by a tray icon popup menu, you set the sites and retrieval intervals. Updating WebTicker's URL file with new sites is effortless, and the registered version allows you to retrieve from three different sites on a rotating basis. A configuration dialog allows settings for auto-retrieval interval, scroll speed, browser and viewer, Web site URLs, auto-timeout, and a site tester for experimental retrieval of URLs. WebTicker has a smaller footprint than a typical Web browser while allowing viewing the current page in your browser with only a mouse click. WebTicker does not interfere with existing Internet connections or your Internet applications. Zipped archive includes setup program to automatically install on your PC.
