Who is Michael J. Emery?
Michael J. Emery, owner of Attention Shifting, LLC,
received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and
Advertising Management from Portland State University
and a Master of Arts from the Institute of
Transpersonal Psychology.
While studying marketing and advertising, Michael's
fascination with communication grew when he saw that
the stickiness of a message would determine how well
an audience would remember the advertisement. He began
to study communication and human behavior, which
eventually led him to begin researching various
communication models. Michael encountered Ericksonian
Hypnosis and NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) in
which he found a system of empowering beliefs that
explained the processes behind human behavior and
