The fast and easy way to convert pages from the World Wide Web (*.htm) to plain Textfiles (*.txt). Open up one or more .htm files with HTMASC, and you can instantly convert them to .txt files, with all the HTML tags stripped from the originals. It can properly read past JavaScript, and convert special characters (entities) to their ASCII equivalent. HTMASC gives you a two-window view of the original file and its conversion, so you can search or cut-and-paste from the converted file. An optional feature preserves URL links, allowing you to easily retrieve addresses from lengthy 'pointer' files. Plus: Multiple File Convert, History List, Batch Processing, Run URL.
