Style One
-
Version
2.02
A Windows 98/95/NT utility that makes it quick and easy
to add style to your web pages. Creating the
universally accepted Cascading Style Sheets (CSS),
Style One lets you quickly enhance your web site with
stunning graphics and a consistent look and feel.
Unlike Java, JavaScript, CGI and ASP techniques that
are often filtered out by firewalls and can cause
users' systems to freeze up when they visit your web
site, style sheets are ignored by older browsers, yet
allow newer browsers like Netscape 4 and Internet
Explorer 4 to display sophisticated layouts. Style One
makes it easy to create styles that will control your
font type, alignment and colors, background graphics
and colors, margins, spacing and more. Style One lets
you create each style once, store it once, and
reference it from all of your web pages, giving your
web site a consistent,
professional look. Web development time is reduced
because you can define your styles once, and use them
in all of your web pages. And since the style
definitions are stored efficiently in one place, your
web pages are smaller and will load more quickly. The
program supports both standalone and embedded style
sheets. Style One's style sheet parser lets you
quickly edit every CSS property. You can even open and
edit multiple documents at the same time. Style One
lets you preview your handiwork using either its
built-in browser or your favorite external browser.
The rule wizard lets you create new style rules on the
fly. In addition to context-sensitive help files,
there is a quick tutorial on how to use the program.
Style One supports level 1 and level 2 CSS standards,
as created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the
international body that creates the rules for HTML.
While the major web browsers are catching up with these
standards, Style One has fully implemented them, and
can support all of the leading edge browsers.
