Gel is applied to the nails where it gets treated with UV lights. If UV light is not used a special type of gel activator is used instead. The gel nail technique does not yellow the nail which makes it more popular than the acrylic type. It helps to strengthen the nail while adding sheen to it. If you suffer from brittle nails which are easily damaged, using gel nails will be a great option. It is odour free therefore you won't have to worry about smelly odour which usually comes from acrylic nails.
