AdjustCD

Version
4.5
Do you really know what's going on at your computer
when you're not around? Just think of all the people
who have access to it, how many of them are doing
something that would more than likely annoy the hell
out of you if you knew? It could be the guy down the
hall at the office who listens to his AC/DC CD's when
you're away at lunch (you do have a cool sound setup,
don't you?) or maybe just your roommate who sneaks in
a game of Quake 3 when you're out and about. Call me
petty, but I don't like people messing with my stuff
without asking first. That's why you need to get
AdjustCD.
With AdjustCD you don't block access to the computer
or any programs, just the ability to use certain CD's.
The idea being that by blocking access to a list of
CD's (music CD's, games, etc.) you can cut out a lot
of the extraneous, non-work related activities that
can go on at your computer. You merely set up a list
of CD's that are banned and then any time after that
when someone tries to use them they'll be inoperable
unless a password is known.
You can block out individual CD's or whole categories
such as data CD's, audio CD's, or for that matter any
unknown CD that AdjustCD hasn't seen before. Each CD
can have a a separate time and password setup for it.
AdjustCD isn't totally fullproof (not all games
require the CD to be in the drive for example) but it
works well enough to keep people from straying and
doing things they shouldn't be doing.
