Design, draw, import or convert icons into the new
Windows 8 compatible Metro format. Windows 8 UI Icon
Studio enables designers to draw Metro-style icons
from scratch, import, modify and convert existing
images while applying a number of special effects. The
tool features user interface in the Metro style, and
supports the new 256x256 monochrome PNG format in.
You're not limited to creating monochrome Metro-style
icons only; the tool supports color images of up to 32-
bit True Color with semi-transparency layer.
Windows 8 UI Icon Studio features all the tools an
icon designer needs to produce perfectly looking icons
for Aero and Metro-style apps. Designers can import,
convert, edit, modify, create new icons and draw them
from scratch by using a wide range of available tools.
A variety of effects are available including drop
shadow, opacity, smooth, negative, grayscale,
colorize, rotate, roll and mirror. Any combination of
these effects can be applied to a bunch of icons at
