WinSpeech 3.0 (N) reads text or WRI file and produces speech output. It can also take text from other window programs from the DDE link, or Clipboard and produce speech. Other features include command line speech mode and audio guidance. Uses new speech engine with improved speech quality. Rev. 3.0 for Windows 3.1x. Rev. 3.0N for Windows 95/98/NT. Features: File mode - reads ASCII text or Windows WRITE (.WRI) files. Clipboard mode - works with other Windows applications as a speech add-on utility. DDE server mode - works as a speech engine, allows other applications to render text through DDE channel for talking. Command line mode - reads string or file specified in command line parameters during program start up. Basic text editing tools for load, save, copy, paste and editing text. Audio guidance provides instructions throughout the program. Pitch and Speech Rate adjustable. Dictionary editor tool for customizing pronunciation. Internal speaker device driver can be installed during setup for PCs without a sound card (this feature is for Windows 3.1x/95 only).
