TeamDoc is a document authoring solution for distributed teams, enabling true collaborative authoring, not just document sharing. Designed for the World Wide Web, TeamDoc allows any number of distributed users to create, edit and view centrally held documents simultaneously, via Internet or Intranet, with all changes broadcast in real time. Individual documents are stored in a database rather than as discrete files and read/write privileges are controlled by a document's author. Collaborative authoring dramatically reduces the cost and time taken to produce multi-author documents and eliminates the need for multiple variant copies. Certified 100% Pure Java, TeamDoc can be run on any Java compatible system. The TeamDoc server runs on the same machine as your web server and there is no client software to install - each user requires only a Java compliant web browser.
