Now that we are a global community we need a single reference point for what time it is anywhere in the world. Currently, whenever a call is made across time zones, someone has to TRANSLATE: "What time is it there?..." "Ok, it is 3:00 here and you are 3 hours ahead of me . . . let's see . . ." "I will call you at 9:00 my time which should be 6:00 your time??" "No wait, that would 12:00 your time..." That's silly. We need global time. This global time needs to be enough different from local time that everyone knows immediately that we are speaking in Global Time. That is why Greenwich Mean Time does not work for everyday people. It does not sound different enough. eTime offers a simple and (what will become) an obvious solution.
