DeskShow 2.2 is an easy to use graphical utility which
allows you to automate the changing of your desktop
wallpaper, run on-screen slide shows, and includes a
screen saver module to cycle through images as your
screen saver. DeskShow supports Windows bitmap, jpeg,
and numerous other image file formats. There are a
large number of options and preferences that can be
changed and maintained between sessions. You can
create and maintain lists of files to use for changing
your wallpaper based on a timer or manually, and these
same lists can be used for screen shows or the screen
saver module. You can preview your images in the main
program window in a preview pane or while adding files
to your ImageList. You can also preview images from a
CD-ROM or network source using a ScreenShow, and
quickly save desired images to your hard disk. The
DeskShow ImageList can be used with the preview
capability and save/delete features to act as an image
file manager for your system. DeskShow 2.2 includes
significant new functionality including support for 6
new types of image files (TIFF, PNG, PCX, TGA, WMF)
besides Bitmaps and JPEG files that were previously
supported. The screen saver has been completely
redesigned as a stand alone module that can be
configured either through DeskShow or through the
Windows Display control panel. There are also a number
of user interface improvements and problem corrections.
