RunPager SS, Silent Signal Security System For Your PC -To Catch A Thief . . . And Recover Your Property. -Have you ever recovered anything lost or stolen? If your computer is stolen you not only lose the hardware, but software, data and in many cases other valuables are taken at the same time. -This program is like closing the barn door after the horse gets out, the exception being that with this application installed your computer becomes a Trojan Horse. -RunPager SS will secretly and silently call your home or office and alert your pager every time your lost or stolen computer starts Windows. You can then identify the source of the call and hence it's location using either caller-id, a service provided by your telephone company, or pager message identification. After being alerted by the call you take the caller's phone number or specific user information received by your pager to the police and have them make the recovery for you. Caller-id service is not expensive and not required unless and until your computer is actually lost or stolen. -In addition to the use of caller-id, if the person who has your computer should make changes to your browser's email address or user name or the computer's registered owner or registered owner organization that information will be sent to your numeric pager in a series of calls. These numeric pager messages may then be decoded, to provide identification in case caller-id is blocked. If you do not have a pager you may be able to substuitute an answering machine to receive the information.
