PKWARE has unveiled an updated version of their DOS compression utility, PKZIP. This version uses the classic PKZIP 2.04g DOS command line syntax and offers added features for those of you who prefer using a powerful command line compression program over GUI utilities. A new feature to PKZIP is long file name support for Windows 9x. Users can extract, store and view long file names inside a .zip archive without truncating the filename. PKZIP also allows you to add up to 16,000 files within one .zip file.
