CloseFast2000 is the best-designed shutdown utility for Windows. It does much more than turn off your computer. Whether it hides in the tray or sits atop your desktop, it gives you quick access to some very important system functions. CloseFast situates standard options, such as Shutdown, Restart and Logoff, on its sleek black toolbar. The best features are placed right beside them. CloseFast allows you to shutdown the computer remotely via the Internet. Simply enter an IP address and password. You can also perform a pre-set, or timed, shutdown. You're given two choices. The first is that you can schedule shutdowns for a certain time of day. The other is having the computer shut off after it's been running for a period of minutes or hours. The Windows dialog box gives you a running list of the programs and processes running on the system. This is like what you get when Control-Alt-Delete is pressed. Except here, you can automatically close applications that aren't responding and other selected items. The utility offers some settings options to get your shutdowns just right and make CloseFast run smoother.
