WINFIN v4.80 is a MS Windows based program composed of
over 20 separate modules or sub-programs that can be
used to analyze a wide range of investment and
financial problems involving time and money. These
include:
Mortgages, Rule78, Amortization, Retirement Planning,
Auto Lease, Save-For-The-Future, Bonds & Notes, Bond
Portfolio (with Laddering), T-Bills, Certificate of
Deposit, Bankers Acceptance, Portfolio Hedge, Option
Analysis (Black-Scholes), Cash Flow (IRR,NPV),
Compound Interest, Simple Interest, Annuity, Days-
Between-Dates, Random Numbers, Calculator and Calendar.
Almost any subject involving time and money! You
select the unknown to solve and enter the known
values. Not only is the unknown value computed, but
several other parameters pertinent to the problem.
Results are also displayed in a "what-if" spreadsheet
and chart form which, for example, allow comparison of
bank terms for a mortgage or effect of change in
interest rates on a bonds price. Output can be sent to
screen, printer and, in some cases, a comma delimited
text file for spreadsheet import. The formulas used to
construct these solutions are based upon industry
standards. Mortgages follow Federal Regulation Z in
the "Truth In Lending Act". Bonds, incuding munis,
follow those set forth by the Securities Industry
Association. This program is very popular with Banks,
S&L's, stock brokers, bond dealers as well as
individuals.
