OfficeExpress 2000 adds image acquisition, image editing, and OCR functions directly into Microsoft Office 97 and 2000. A menu and toolbar are integrated into Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to let you create and work with images from a digital camera, a flatbed or sheet-fed scanner, or almost any digital image device. You select the appropriate device from the list and SmartMode is designed to do the rest. Performing Optical Character Recognition means no more retyping With OfficeExpress you need only to click a button, and it will automatically scan the documents, read the text, and paste it into your document. It retains the layout, formatting, color pictures, and graphics. It also reads and recreates tables and columns. OfficeExpress 2000 integrates image editing and special effects features, including crop, brightness/contrast/saturation/focus/color adjustments, frames, and shadows. It is designed to enhance your images and photos without using a separate program.
