Gateway Guardian Personal Edition is an Internet
connectivity solution that turns any PC into an
Internet gateway and firewall for your computer
network. Gateway Guardian Personal Edition's default
setting blocks any attempts from the Internet to
connect to the Internal network. Using the Java-based
administration tool, which runs under Windows or
Linux, a wizard steps you through the configuration
settings and customization of the firewall for your
network. When this is completed, you insert a 3.5"
floppy diskette and build the firewall to it. Place
this diskette, with your custom firewall settings,
into a dedicated Internet Gateway PC (486+), and boot
off the diskette to bring up your high-end firewall.
This file also includes time limited demonstration
copies of Gateway Guardian Professional and VPN
Editions for more advanced firewalling and Virtual
Private Networking functionality (See "Notes on the
Demo Modes" in the Help Documentation).
