Game Launchpad is a program which attempts to maximise
system resources (memory and CPU cycles) by allowing
you to easily close down programs running on your
machine. Many people have a large number of programs
running in the background on their machines (in the
system tray for example), and although individually
most of these programs do not take up much in the way
of memory and CPU cycles, combined they may have a
much larger impact on available system resources. Many
games require all the system resources they can get,
and having an abundance of programs active which are
not necessary when running such an application can
seriously degrade it's performance - especially on
older or lower specification machines. Game Launchpad
helps you grab back these resources.
