SMS Messenger ActiveX DLL
-
Version
7.7.0.6
SMS Messenger is a 32 bit ActiveX™ communications DLL
designed for rapid application development (RAD) in
Window® 95/98/Me/NT4 & 2000 where the developer
requires to add paging and SMS (Short Message Service)
functionality to their own software. Developed
specifically for international use, it supports
arguably the largest collection of network operators
around the world and it is simplicity in itself to
define new SMS/Paging providers (local cellular
networks) with their respective properties thus
ensuring that any user of your application can profit
from the flexibility of being able to adapt to use
local networks. SMS Messenger supports TAP (Telecator
Alphanumeric Protocol) and UCP (Universal Computer
Protocol) - the two most common international
protocols for wireless communication - which ensure
maximum flexibility world-wide. SMS Messenger uses
Windows® TAPI - the device independent telephony
application interface for modern telephony software.
With TAPI you can also use ISDN, Cellular (GSM) or
IrDA and forget about difficult modem setups
Being a 32 bit software tool SMS messenger works with
Visual Basic, Visual C++ and other (D)COM/ActiveX/Win
32 compatible development environments. It even
supports the simultaneous use of outgoing lines for
message transmission (modem, ISDN, Cellular (GSM) or
IrDA device) if running multiple instances and With
the use of a few simple methods, developers will be
able to enable their programs communicate with not
only all of the major UK cellular networks but also
with thousands of other networks world-wide who
provide a TAP version 1.8 or UCP dial up telephone
access point
SMS Messenger will handle the TAPI (Windows®
Telephony) calls as well as handling the data
transmission using the TAP (Telocator Alphanumeric
Protocol) and UCP (Universal Computer Protocol)
protocols
The end user of the developer’s software will require
modem access to a standard analogue telephone line
Because SMS Messenger is the communications engine
behind award winning SMS Centre developers can rest
assured that they are purchasing the best available in
its field
The standard version includes a small icon which will
appear in the Windows system tray at runtime. If the
mouse moves over the icon a copyright message will be
displayed. The Professional edition does not show any
copyright notice on the Windows desktop
