The multi-threaded NT service monitors statistics on
servers and notifies if any statistic exceeds a
threshold. Notification is done through email, pager,
computer message, SNMP trap, log file, Event Viewer,
or its own log file.
It can also automatically backup each server's
registries every “x” days. While an unlimited amount
of computers can be viewed from the user interface,
the product is partitioned into versions that can
monitor up to 1, 5, 10, or an unlimited amount of
servers.
Server Sentinel is designed like all of our Sentinel
products with an easy-to-use interface of computers on
the left and statistics about the computer on the
right. It doesn't require any agents to be installed
or run on the computers being monitored.
Its unique feature is that monitors statistics simply
and affordably.
