Tara Lexi Desktop is a powerful language reference application
for Windows. It provides more information than almost any paper
based dictionary; it's also both quicker and easier to use. Tara
Lexi Desktop supports a large array of features, including an
advanced search engine (ideal for word puzzles), instant word
retrieval and the ability to customise language files
(lexicons). A range of lexical files are available for use with the
application, including a massive 341,000 word English lexicon.
These can be freely downloaded at www.alpha-india5.com. Tara
Lexicons ™ describe a large amount of information for each word,
including a description of meanings, lists of synonyms,
antonyms, hypernyms and translations into other languages. Also
included are the word's syntactic class (noun, verb, adjective
etc.), associated semantic concepts, and a written usage
frequency.
