Visendo popConnect was written first in 1997 as an
Add On for Microsoft Exchange Server. It connects
Microsoft Exchange Server with your personal POP3 or
IMAP4 email accounts in the internet.
Visendo popConnect collects the email from these
accounts and sends them via SMTP to the internal
Exchange Server. Visendo popConnect supports single-
and multi accounts (catch-all).
Over the graphical user interface and the included
wizards installation and configuration can be done
within minutes. The configuration is stored in XML
files. The received emails are stored as plain text
files grouped in directories of every account. These
files can be archived automatically in ZIP files
every day, week or month.
Visendo popConnect 6 also contains a RSS Reader to
fetch News or other information served as a RSS XML
document. The content of these documents will be send
as emails to the internal users.
Each activity of Visendo popConnect is logged in
files. Per default Visendo popConnect writes a
popConnect.log in W3C format. So it is possible to
graphically analyze the email traffic, etc.
