pnpMail
-
Version
1.14
Access your home or office computer from an e-mail
enabled cell phone or from any other e-mail account.
The pnpMail™ interprets incomming e-mails, recognizes
those containing special commands and performs
required operations. Results are e-mailed back, and
if requested, short text alerts (SMS messages) are
also sent indicating that results are waiting to be
retrieved. The pnpMail™ is mainly intended for:
- Cell phone users that would like to check e-mails
or some files on their home or office computer and
get back selected text content.
- People wanting to access office e-mail and files
without and they don't have a VPN connection. The
access is safe and secure, does not require any
special firewall setups, and does not affect any
security measures currently in place.
- People wanting to access their home computer from
work. Again - the access is safe and secure: does
not affect any security measures currently in place,
there is no server with well known ports running on a
home computer, and there is no need for a VPN, or a
special firewall setup.
For cell phone applications, the pnpMail's
interactivity provides an advantage over
the 'standard forwarding or filtering solutions' The
user can select directly which e-mail wants to
retrieve, instead of being overwhelmed with too many
forwarded e-mails, or missing some important e-mails
because of filter imperfections. Additionally, the
pnpMail application has a capability to execute any
Windows, DOS, or Unix shell command, script, or any
application on the remote computer and to send
results back via e-mail.
All pnpMail™ commands have SMS option which will
alert that results are ready to be retrieved or there
is a new e-mail waiting.
The pnpMail™ is a platform independent Java
application and requires Java 1.4.1
