Agelong Tree is a computer program intended for b
uilding family trees, storing and displaying in
formation about people and events in their lives.
The program is really easy to use and even children
can handle it. At the same time Agelong Tree has
a wide spectrum of features: it automatically builds a
family tree for any person, has a mechanism of e
vents allowing the user to make complex biographies, st
ores texts, photos, sounds and videos, searches, sorts
and filters data and shows statisti
c
s.
The family tree itself is based upon the data ab
out persons and the events that put these perso
ns together. The tree can be built for any selecte
d person. Below you can see his/her ancestors and above
there are direct descendants and their husbands and
wives (and also persons having common children with
the direct descendants). There are also expanded types
of trees that give the opportunity of displaying not on
ly the direct descendants and ancestors of a person, bu
t the family trees of the person's brothers, sisters and
cousins. A special algorithm builds the tree in the
most appropriate way; it is able to level and balance t
he trees with a most complicated structu

e.
A system of filters allows choosing from the ent
ire list those persons that meet certain criteria. F
or example, you can select those living in New York no
w and born in the 30s. You can get the statistics o
n the entire person list, on the selected persons or on
the persons
