Docretriever is an application designed for CD/DVD
users which enables them to search for documents
without the need for installing any application on the
user's machine. The search is through the full-text of
the documents or through the index data (keywords)
associated with the document. The full-text search
includes features like phrase search, boolean etc..
The documents which need to be indexed could be WORD,
PDF, HTML, Image files (whose text is extracted using
OCR and/or manually) etc.. For each CD title, the HTML
equivalent of the documents and an index is generated.
This is then packaged with the original documents and
search application to make a fully searchable CD/DVD
title. There is no royalty on the number of CD/DVDs
distributed.
