Server Guard is an internet host monitor program. It
can monitor one or all pre-defined host's TCP service
or port at anytime or at regular intervals and takes
pre-defined actions if a service or port does not
respond. It can provide a visual and sound alarm, send
an E-mail message to a mailbox, execute external
programs to notify you. It can also write a log-file
entry for every test.
Server Guard provides system administrators with the
benefits of a quick simple way to monitor hosts and
theirs TCP services. You will never check your servers
manually frequently and worry about your services such
as WWW, DNS, SMTP, etc shutdown but you don't know in
a short time. Network administrator downtime is
reduced and user satisfaction improved by the prompt
response to server failures.
