ChessPartner is a full-featured chess game that lets
you play against the computer or against opponents
across the Internet. With ChessPartner you can: choose
from ten different sets of chess pieces (including a
3D chess set), choose from various levels of play,
read and write PGN and EPD files, print diagrams or
whole games, create your own books, copy and paste
games to the Clipboard, and analyze positions or even
entire games.
It also features timing clocks for speed matches,
hints, a list of moves, a large opening book (and the
ability to create your own books), a game histogram
that gives a graphical overview of the scores in the
game (which makes it easy to spot where you made a
mistake), a database capable of storing millions of
games, and more.
It also has a Winboard adapter which allows you to use
the ChessPartner interface with any Winboard
compatible chess engine (such as Crafty or GNUCHESS).
Has support for the Nalimov endgame table bases, new
office 2000 look with fully customizable menus and
toolbars. Layout function to create your own layouts,
a number of layouts are included.
Included is the Engine research tool which let you
play engine / engine matches.
The latest release now supports UCI and Winboard I and
II compatible engines.
