nm_videomeasure is a new generation software based
Computer Based Laboratory (CBL) system.
With nm_videomeasure you can acquire kinematic data of
a suitable moving object by only using a standard PC
and a webcam (or any other video capture device).
nm_videomeasure can be used in physics teaching and
learning to analyze the motion of objects in realtime.
It's fast and easy to use and it does not need any
interface, light barriers, sonic or mechanic sensors.
It does not need any calibration. As it uses a video
camera for motion detection it does neither disturb
you nor your experiment.
Simply plug a webcam into your PC, click onto the
object you want to track and start data logging by
clicking onto one button. The objects position and
velocity will than be shown in realtime in diagrams
and in a table.
All data can be exported for further analysis (e.g. in
spreadsheet applications).
