There are many good FTP client applications available
today. Many of them provide all the features you need
to browse FTP servers in comfort, and upload and
download your files. Why would you need yet another
FTP program?
While normal FTP clients work well for the occasional
file transfers, for repetitive tasks and regular
copying of large amounts of data, you need to use a
more powerful tool. You should try FTPGetter. It has
all the features a good FTP client should have, but,
in addition, the program provides advanced mechanisms
for task scheduling and automation.
You can install FTPGetter as a system service. It can
start scheduled tasks at a specified time. For
example, you can upload or download daily backups
using FTPGetter...even incremental backups are
possible. The program can calculate MD5 hashes for
files and compare their time stamps. This allows you
