This program is designed for garbling incoming and
outgoing Internet traffic and hiding your IP address.
This is necessary for several reasons: so you can surf
the net anonymously, and so your Internet Service
Provider can't see what sites you visit. You do not
want your company system administrator to intercept
information you receive and send. And you do not want
the copies of pages that you have visited to be stored
in the cache of the corporate proxy. Nor would you
like anyone using a sniffer to read your mail. And, of
course, you'd like to keep your mail box password
secret. And so on. Everyone who uses the Internet is
interested in immunity to the various remote hacker
attacks which start by identifying your IP address.
