A great web site maintenance program with some very unique features. SiteSentry's primary function is to validate and monitor a given web site for broken links, either within a site itself, or those off the site residing on different servers. In addition, it can create a local copy of the selected web site and present the map of the site in a large variety of ways to make the maintenance process fast, simple, and efficient. The innovative Virtual Reality walk-through of the site allows users to "walk around" a three dimensional VR world depicting the hierarchical arrangement of pages on the site. SiteSentry offers tons of user-customizable options, and is great for web site designers, maintainers, and even casual users looking to create a local copy or Virtual Reality (VRML) walkthrough of a web site. New to version 1.3 is 1) support for proxy servers, 2) the ability to schedule sentries to run at predefined intervals, and 3) the generation of HTML site maps for easier navigation.
