Eye exercises. Mirror Meditation
Stress effect: Muscle tension, especially in the
shoulders, neck and head.
Monitor: Sit comfortably in front of a mirror. Study
your reflection for signs of tension, such as a
creased brow, a clenched jaw, or even an anxious look
in the eyes.
Relax: Make a conscious effort to relax your facial
muscles and the rest of your body as much as possible.
Work from top to bottom.
Your goal: Simply to observe how relaxation affects
your reflection.
Visualize a peaceful place. Close your eyes and let
your mind take you to the place that you think about
when you imagine your favorite vacation. Perhaps you
love the beach - listen to the sounds of the crashing
waves and the seagulls, feel the warmth of the sun on
your skin and the sand on your feet, smell the salty
air. Although you will open your eyes to a very
different environment, you can return to your special
spot in the blink of an eye.
