TechVision's FormIDEA, Form Image Data Entry
Assistant, is intelligent forms-processing software
integrated seamlessly in Microsoft Office with
TechVision AccuForm and Microsoft ActiveX technology.
FormIDEA adds the following advanced form recognition
and processing features in Excel:
- Form identification.
- Form registration (auto-matching skewed, scaled,
misaligned, and misoriented forms with predefined
reference for data field extraction).
- Automatic data field tracking Check box recognition
(OMR).
- Bar code recognition (Codabar, Code128, Code39,
Int2of5, EAN8, EAN13, UPCA, and UPCE).
- Batch mode processing.
- Data entry verification.
- Image-enabled workbook for form document retrieval,
reviewing, and printing.
With FormIDEA, you can work directly in Excel to
collect and transfer data from scanned or faxed paper
forms into Excel workbooks. Data fields of interest
will be automatically identified and captured for fast
and easy data entry. Check boxes and bar code symbols
can be read automatically by a built-in OMR and bar
code recognition engine. You can also define data
capture rules using FormIDEA and Excel data validation
features to further enhance data entry accuracy.
In addition, FormIDEA provides a programmable Visual
Basic interface, through which you can easily
integrate FormIDEA with Excel or other Microsoft
Office components to build your custom solutions, such
as automated data collection and analysis for surveys,
evaluations, examinations, and assessments.
