NTStatus Manager
-
Version
2.0
Checks the status of an NT server or workstation by establishing an RPC connection. NTStatus Manager will alarm if users are not able to get to the server's file system. NTStatus Manager does NOT just "ping" the servers, but it queries the file system itself. Because of that, NTStatus Manager will alarm if Windows NT server service stops, server is dangerously low on virtual memory. (Users receive errors such as "RPC server is too busy..." or "Not enough server storage available...") NTStatus Manager will also alarm if the name resolution fails (E.G.: WINS) Bottom line, if users are not able to get to the server, NTStatus Manager will alarm.
