Smart Battery Workshop - Version 1.3 "Smart Battery Workshop" is a package of softwaretools, which are useful in a process of notebookbattery repair. It uses Philips Standard I2C ParallelPort Adapter that can be assembled in one hour byperson with no electronics skills and dose not requireany hard-to-find components. Total components cost isaround $1.# Smart Battery Workshop provides read-only access toall the data listed in Smart Battery DataSpecificationRevision 1.1. via LPT/SMBus adapter directly frombattery terminals (57 parameters). All the BitFlags aredecoded into human readable clear text.# Allows user to reset Smart Battery EEPROM to itsinitial values (this will erase all tracks of previousbattery usage) except for ManufactureDate, which willbe changed to current system date. All the PermanentFailure Flags if such will be found will be cleared(this will unlock the battery if it is locked) . Souser will have a "brand new" battery after repacking.Electronics skills are also not needed. Everythingworks automatically. No editable fields. Just onebutton - "Reset". If you work under Win95/98/ME then go to "MyComputer/Propeties/Perfomance/FileSystem/Troubleshooting/" and check "Disable all 32-bitprotected-mode disk drivers " checkbox.
