The software has been designed as general application
for security hybrid platforms running at the same
time with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-
cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams.
It has web interface with the equal form and controls
on the local and distant computers. Customers see
MPEG coded picture and have complete management of
the software via network that security workstation
can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse
connected. Software`s modular composition
considerably increases reliability because all units
proceed as autonomous software. If one component
fails, other components continue working. For example
if the `capture` unit freezes, `watchdog` restarts it
immediately that users don`t notice anything because
they are watching picture using a `playback` part.
The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk
full` situation never appears. The recording can be
constant or it can be initiated by activity, human
face detection, or by calendar. The software has
pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back
recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the
surveillance pc as well as on remote pc using Web
interface. The program does simultaneous video
playback for event analysis from multiple webcams
simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by
date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can
be encrypted and password protected.
