The program has been created as general product for
surveillance hybrid platforms working all together with
wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-boards, capture
cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web
interface with the similar look and controls on the
local and apart workstations. Users view MPEG coded
picture and have full control of the software using
network that surveillance pc can be run without
monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s
modular composition considerably boosts reliability
because all parts act as independent software. If one
module freezes, other units continue running. For
instance if the `capture` unit freezes, `watchdog`
restarts it immediately that users don`t notice
anything because they are viewing picture using a
`playback` module. The software does `repeated`
recording that the `hard drive full` situation never
occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be
turned on by movement, human face detection, or by
calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm
recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple
and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as
on apart station using Web interface. The program
does synchronized video playback for event analysis
from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded data can
be searched by date, time or by face detected. All
recorded information can be encrypted and password
protected.
