Working with large size PST file can create many
troubles like lessen utility, slow working and many
more, so it's better to split PST file. In ANSI the
limit of file size was 2GB but in UNICODE the limit of
file size is 25 GB, so we can split PST file in SIX
different sizes 256 MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 3GB &4GB.
Now the question arise is How to split PST file?
PST file can be split in 3 different ways:
• Split PST by size.
• Split PST by year.
• Split PST by date.
Split PST by size: Split PST by size, it gives the
alternative of splitting PST file by size. For
example, if we have a file of size 12GB than we can
split it in any of the size mentioned above.
Split PST by year: Split PST by year, it gives the
alternative of splitting PST file by year. For
example, if we have to split PST files from year 1998
