PANOPTIQUE is a cataloguing program for Windows*
(9x/ME/NT/2K/XP/2003/Vista/7).
It allows you to easily catalogue files of various
media types on any drives
(hard, floppy, flash, remote).
We live in a hi-tech world, that's for sure. We use
PCs and surf the web every day of the week.
We are already accustomed to lots of digital stuff:
photo albums, audio libraries, movie collections.
The amount of stored data increases on daily basis.
Scientists say, it doubles every three years.
The data carriers constantly change as well: first
floppies, then CDs, DVDs, now we have flash memory.
Probably there will be something else in the near
future. We transfer our data from one drive to
another, we copy and multiply it without remorse.
Eventually, our data becomes a pile of defragmented
mess.
How should we sort it all out without losing something
valuable, whilst carefully deleting all the
